Life is fast. Blazing fast. Everyday we seem to cram as much into it as possible, trying to make the most out of every moment. Somehow we have been taught that the busiest and most overworked person wins. We are a failure if we are anything but busy. Every once in a while you stop for a minute and realize that the world won’t end. The world doesn’t care. It will keep going with or without you.
Tonight we are sitting on Susan’s grandpa’s deck enjoying the view of Boise and I am thinking about some emails that I need to answer. But then it hits me. The email will wait and I should enjoy the simplicity of just sitting and spending time with the people I love. The world will continue and our job should be to find the priorities, the moments that truly matter. Everything else will pass one way or another.
