The nerves are starting to peak a little bit as I begin packing for my 50 mile race on Friday. I am getting everything ready tonight and driving to Wendover tomorrow afternoon. This really makes the whole thing seem that much more real, and yes, I am getting a little nervous. It is interesting how I can go out and run for a few hours without any planning and be fine, but now that the time is compounded my brain gets all twisted on preparing. “Do I have enough nutrition?” “Yes.” “Have I put in the training?” “Yes.” But for some reason I feel like this is the first long run I have ever done. Friday morning will be here before I know it and I am sure everything will be fine once I start running.
